Hawthorn Cottage is a seventeenth century cottage, situated in an elevated,
south-facing position with spectacular views across Wensleydale. It offers one
double and one twin- bedded room, both with en-suite facilities.
The setting provides an ideal base for sight seeing, walking or simply relaxing
in a friendly atmosphere. The house lends itself to all weathers : Guests may
sit out in the lovely cottage garden in summer time, or curl up with a good
book in front of a log fire in the inglenook fireplace if the weather is less
clement.
When the nights draw in and summer is well and truly gone, a break at Hawthorn
Cottage will surely restore flagging spirits. The landscape is still lovely and
there are plenty of places to visit. However, if you simply want to relax and
look at Wensleydale from the comfort of an armchair, by a big log fire, then
you can spend the days in the seventeenth century sitting room, with
refreshments provided at regular intervals. You may also book a delicious two
or three course dinner if you wish.
For an indulgent treat why not try one of our special packages for
House Parties, Christmas and New Year
or small Conferences. There is also a
special offer of three nights of bed and breakfast
for the price of two.
Please explore the web site and I look forward to welcoming you to Hawthorn
Cottage and Wensleydale in the future.
